To achieve their objective, employees, customers, suppliers, and individuals use the computer systems to communicate to one another. One of the company's latest products is HP Pavilion computer Notebook, and the company has sold million of this product to people globally. Apart from being used by employees, the HP Pavilion is being used by suppliers, government and other stakeholders globally.



Instruction Manual for the HP Pavilion



The setup of the HP Pavilion computer systems is critical for the management of the system. Computer setup is the system customization and information for the utility of the computer system. The information to set up the computer is accessed in the Main,



Security, Tools or Advanced menus using the following steps:



• Turn on and restart the HP notebook. Press F10 when the F10 Setup message is displayed at the lower-left side corner of the screen.



• To change the computer language, navigate to the Advanced menu with the aid of the cursor.



• Press F1 to view the navigation information



• Press ESC to return to the HP Computer Setup menu,



• Then Select the Main menu, Security, Tools or Advanced menu.



• To restart the notebook or close Computer Setup:



• Select Exit



• Exit Saving Changes,



• and then press enter.



• Press F10 when prompted in order to confirm the action.



Removal and Replacement of computer Peripheries



Sometimes it may be necessary to remove and replace some peripheries from the computer systems, it is critical to follow the following procedures to carry out the tasks. The tools required to carry out the removal and replacement procedures area as follows:



• Magnetic screwdriver



• Phillips P0 screwdriver



• Flat-bladed screwdriver



• 5.0-mm socket for the system board screw-locks, and • A toolkit that includes loopback plugs, case tool utility and connector removal tool.



However, it is essential to place all accompanying screws or subassembly away from the computer to prevent damage when removing the subassembly from the computer notebook. Moreover, it is essential not use excessive force during the disassembly or reassembly as it can damage the plastic parts of the system.



Connectors and Cables



It is extremely important to put the cable at a proper location when carrying out the reassembly process because placing the capable improperly can damage the notebook.
It is important to handle the cables with extreme care to avoid the system damage. Apply the required tension to seat or unseat the cable during insertion and removal. Moreover, it is essential to handle the cable with the connector when possible. Moreover, avoid twisting, bending, and tearing cables. Always route the cable so that it cannot be snagged or caught by parts being replaced or removed. It is also important to be extremely careful when handling the flex cable.



Method to Prevent Damage when removing Removable Drives



The removable drives consist of fragile components that should be handled with care. To prevent damage to the HP notebook, loss of information, or removable drives, it is important to follow the following information:



• Before inserting or removing the hard drive, always shut down the notebook. If unsure whether the HP notebook is in hibernation or off, turn the notebook on, and shut the system down through its operating system.



• Before removing an optical or diskette drive, be ensure that a disc or diskette is not in the drive. Be sure to close the optical drive tray.



• Always discharge the static electricity before handling the drive. Avoid touching the connector when handling a drive.



• Handle the drives on the surfaces that are covered with one inch of the shock-proof foam.



• Avoid dropping the optical drives from a high height onto the surface.



• After removing the CD-ROM, hard drive,, or a diskette drive, it is critical to place it in the static-proof bag.



• Avoid exposing the hard drive to the magnetic field that includes speakers and monitors.



• Avoid exposing hard drive to liquids or extreme temperature.



• If the drive is to be mailed, place it in a bubble pack mailer to protect the packaging. Then label the package: "Handle With Care or Fragile"



Transporting and Packaging Precautions



Always use the following precaution when transporting and packaging the system:



• Transport the products in the static-safe containers that include bags, tubes, bags, or boxes to avoid a hand contact,.



• Protect the assemblies and electrostatic-sensitive parts with approved or conductive approved containers or packaging until they arrive at the static-free workstations.



• Place the items on the grounded surface before removing the items from the containers.



• Properly grounded the system when touching the sensitive assembly or component.



• Store the reusable electrostatic-sensitive parts in a protective nonconductive foam or packaging.



• Use conveyors and transporters manufactured with roller bashing and antistatic belts. Be sure that the mechanized equipment is used to move wired materials to the ground. Proper materials should be selected to avoid a static charging. Always use an ionizer in order to dissipate electric charges when grounding is not available.

• Always cover the workstation with the approved and good static-shielding material.
